Robot of Leisure began in 2003 as WHiRR, a lowbrow illustration series that places a clunky robot called Boris in a variety of leisure situations and activities. Prints and handmade goods of Boris were sold at craft fairs and online shops from 2005–2013.

BORIS! Robot of Leisure is a graphic novel following Boris’s origin story as a domestic robot left behind in an abandoned futuristic housing development. The full-colour graphic novel was published in 2013 in print and digital formats. Find out where to buy and/or download a copy at Sparkling Observationalist.

From 2013–2016, original Robot of Leisure paintings were exhibited in galleries and public spaces across North America.
